🎓 Teaching & Mentoring at UPES

  • Currently teaching Physics for Computer Engineers and Introduction to Computational Physics courses
  • Incorporated programming (C++, Fortran), numerical methods, and LaTeX in hands-on lab teaching
  • Mentoring M.Sc. Physics students on projects involving machine learning and BL Her variable stars

🔭 New Observatory Setup

I have initiated the setup of a small observational facility at UPES, Dehradun. The observatory will support practical training in observational astronomy, telescope handling, and data collection for student projects.


📣 Conference & Outreach

  • Delivered invited talks and conducted workshops on machine learning in astronomy
  • Actively engaged in outreach through Medium blog posts and collaborative research discussions
  • Networking with national groups working on stellar variability, LSST, and Gaia science

💻 Ongoing Research

  • Developing new ML models for multi-label classification of light curves
  • Applying neural networks to simulate RR Lyrae light curves from theoretical grids
  • Identifying new globular clusters using Gaia DR3 and ML clustering techniques
